Jody Isaacson The Feeling of the Artist’s Hand
Jody Isaacson’s body of work incorporates single visual subjects re-represented in diverse techniques and materials—carved block prints, (in cases presenting the printing block itself as a work of art),wax sculpture, cast wax, sewn fabric, assemblage, gallery installation, video, and sound. Isaacson’s resulting product is a history of the visual subject’s evolution through these disparate disciplines and mediums.
“I am always curious about the ideas behind a work, the feeling of the artist’s hand when experiencing the work…a meditation on how loss and memory are continually active in living in the present and future. Never static, always fleeting, still only in the moment.” –Jody Isaacson
