Description
An Evening of Duets is a collection of duets in Dual Rivet’s repertoire. The 45 minute evening will take you on a journey through the range of short works proving to be emotional, exciting, sensitive and dynamic as it dives into the complexities of our human experience.
STUFF YOUR EYES (15 min)
Stuff Your Eyes, explores the intricate dance between humanity and technology. This piece navigates the profound intimacy and significance of human connection, while juxtaposing the isolating impact of advancing technology on our society. As characters spiral into their individual realms of altered reality, a poignant yearning for genuine human connection emerges, magnifying the significance of touch in a world where its absence amplifies its importance. Stuff Your Eyes paints a vivid portrait of how our relentless quest for knowledge can blur the lines between reality and perception, inviting you to question the very essence of our digital existence.
IN CAPSULE (Film – 10 min)
Dual Rivet premieres In Capsule, a short dance film exploring the concepts of reality and perception. The film follows two women who are stuck in man-made, monochrome boxes, searching for meaning in the confines of their prescribed spaces.
UNRAVEL (10 min)
UNRAVEL reflects on the many shifts and stages in our relationships. It follows the different journeys that our relationships may take as well as the complexities within them. The piece highlights the importance of vulnerability and the act of letting go. The piece begins wild and joyful, followed by a tender and emotional second half. Both the music and the movement are energetic and relentless. The contrast in energy deepens the sensitivity of the second half of this piece.
