Kimberly Akimbo Submissions
The first production of our 2025 season is Kimberly Akimbo (the play, not the musical) by David Lindsay-Abaire. Set in suburban New Jersey in 1999, the play tells the story of a teenage girl named Kimberly who suffers from a rare condition causing her to age rapidly, making her appear much older than her actual age; as a result, she navigates the challenges of adolescence while trapped in the body of an elderly woman, dealing with a dysfunctional family, and ultimately finding a connection with a fellow outsider at school, all while confronting the reality of her shortened life expectancy.
Roles we are seeking are below. The roles of Kimberly and Debra are cast, but if you would like to submit an audition in case a substitution is needed, you may record a monologue in the style of the play. Upload your video submission to YouTube, Vimeo, or your G-Drive, then click the SUBMIT AUDITION button to the right to access our Audition Portal to complete your submission.
